KOSTASystem video monitoring stations
The videometry stations of the KOSTASystem network facilitate high-resolution monitoring (both spatial and temporal) and allow relatively simple and cost-effective monitoring of the coastline.
The main applications of these videometry stations include, among others:
- Shoreline monitoring
- Intertidal topography, surface and volume variations
- Density of beach users
- Detection of break zone, bars, rip current, rip current
The active video cameras in the Euskoos network are located in Bermeo (Bizkaia) and Zarautz, Mutriku and Donostia (Gipuzkoa).
